Sooo... It's Been Awhile, Again...

--- Wow. It has been way too long since our blog has been updated, since May, actually. Whitney did a wonderful job of updating it, and I have neglected it since last Christmas. There should be laws against such crimes! Here's a quick update since this past May:

Whitney and I went to Florida to visit my family, but, let's be honest, mostly for the beach. We had some adventures (long, long drives; keys locked in the car; driving through the pouring rain and sunshine in the same 2 mile strip; etc.), but ultimately it was good to get away. Just picture the most perfect beach, both dring the day and at night, and then picture Whitney and I on it. There's your picture (Whitney has them all, none of which are on Facebook nor on my laptop)! Hopefully we can put some up soon, preferably before next summer...

Whitney's birthday came around, and we had a wonderful time. I threw a fiesta for her with our friends - she was caught off completely! I told her that we were going to a club in Buford (about 30 minutes away from where I live), and we were about halfway there when I "forgot my wallet." So, Whitney hopped in the driver's seat and drove us back to my house. While we were driving, my mom and our friends had decorated my house in a fiesta style - she really had no idea! It was awesome.

For her birthday I had a star named for her through the International Star Registry. Her star is in the constellation Monoceros, which can really only be seen in February; it's just East of Orion's Belt (so come February, look for it). This is really only the best picture that I can find from Google that isn't covered in lines and a million dots (yes, stars), but still indicates where the constellation is... Anyway, enjoy:
Next came Halloween, and Whitney and I went to a party dressed as a baseball player (me) and as Baker Bakerstone from Bakersville (Whitney). We really did have a great time, eating dinner and playing games. We actually do have a few pictures from this, but here's only one:
After Halloween came MY birthday! November 23rd is the date to remember. Whitney had to throw a party about 1.5 weeks early so that I wouldn't figure it out; it was a complete surprise! We had so much eating some awesome treats that Whitney made, playing Mad Gab, and then playing the Wii. The Sunday before my birthday, my mom, Whitney, and I were just hangin' around my house when they suggested we watch August Rush (one of my favorite movies) and towards the end I decided to bust open my guitar case so I could make a bunch of noise on my three strings (it was in pretty bad shape). Low and behold, it had been restrung and some of the tuning pegs had been replaced! I could now make a lot more noise! Then Whitney gave me her gift on my actual birthday: a gift certificate for a couple of guitar lessons (so I can play more noise, but just a bit better).

Then there was Thanksgiving. That was... awesome? I worked the Wednesday night before from 6:00pm to 4:00am... Yeah, you read that right. Then I woke up at 10am, ate breakfast, then ate lunch shortly after, then took a nap, then went to Whitney's house for dinner (with another nap beforehand), then I came home around 9pm and crashed into my bed. I was supposed to be at work on Black Friday at 4:45am, but overslept an hour and clocked in at 6am instead. Oh well! They weren't too mad with me; I kept my area clean and lookin' good, so they were happy about that!

Well, in early November Whitney got a new job as an Office Manager. She's only part-time right now, but her boss is lookin' to get her to full-time (finally! she shouts) here soon by putting her in a different area (20 hours in his area, then 20 hours elsewhere). She enjoys it pretty well, more and more as she learns everything and grows more comfortable. She likes her direct boss, and all of the other people she works with are glad that she's there! Woohoo! Go Whitney!

Now the semester, for me, is over, and I made 2 A's, 1 B, and 1 C --- one of my best semesters yet! This, of course, means that I have only one semester left, or three classes, and then I graduate!!! May cannot get here soon enough...

Well, I guess that's about it. Hopefully Whitney and I will update this more frequently than we have been.

...lovelove...
