What We Have Been Up To

I see that it has been a month since Andrew or I wrote in our blog, but life has been so busy lately. Since the last post, we have been to the beach, had our 1 year dating anniversary, and started back to school. So here's a little recap:

Andrew and I went to Destin, Fl. for the weekend during the summer. It was a fairly good trip... Andrew and I spent a lot of time walking along the beach, talking, and just taking in the beauty of God's creation. Thanks to our condo that my sister-in-law rented, we were also provided with two beach chairs! It was so awesome to have those! Andrew and I just sat by the water and did some reading! Andrew read Jimmy Buffett's, Swine Not, while I read Cecelia Ahern's, PS, I Love You. Walking on the beach was an experience... There were a lot of drunkies and jellyfish near/in the water. I was worried that I would get stung, so Andrew and I only got in the ocean once! But we had a great time splashing in the water, eating tons of beachy food, and just getting to know each other better.
After the beach, we came back home to go back to work and school. I had pretty much forgotten everything I had learned the week before we left, but somehow I still managed to make it out alive. Thank goodness. I got 2 of my classes out of the way, and I am closer to graduating!

On August 5th, Andrew and I celebrated out 1 year anniversary. We have been dating for 1 year. Boy how time flies by! We celebrated for 3 days, and on the first day, Andrew took me to the Hard Rock Cafe and then surprised me by getting us tickets to the Taylor Swift/Rascal Flatts concert! I was so excited! Taylor Swift is my new favorite, and Rascal Flatts is my number 1 favorite band! Taylor Swift gave a great show, I loved her performance better than Rascal Flatts! I got an autographed CD of Taylor Swifts and one of her T-shirts. It was one of the greatest surprises! At the very end of this blog are a few videos from the concert!!!

On the second day, Andrew and I had a picnic dinner at the park. We had to eat under the pavillion because it was raining! But afterwards Andrew took me to a place called Paint Soiree and we painted two pretty awesome pictures of the beach! I think both of ours came out great and I can't wait to frame them! It really wasn't hard to paint, we had a teacher that showed us what to do, and we were free to move from there and jump into our own creativity! It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back and paint another picture!

And finally, on our third night we exchanged our gifts. Andrew put together a book of all the poems, letters, and a couple journal entries he had written about me and to me. It was one of sweetest gifts I had ever received. My gift for Andrew was 3 notes/clues that I had given him on each one of our dates that expressed my feelings and also gave him a clue to what his gift is. The main gift I gave him was a picture frame that included pictures of Andrew and I together from every event or time we shared throughout the whole year. There were a total of 25 pictures, and in the center, I typed up "our song," Can't Help Falling in Love. I love it.

We had a great one year, and I'm excited to see where our next year will go. School is going to be very difficult these next couple semesters, so hopefully everything will turn out great!
