The Latest!

Hello friends! Now that I have graduated, maybe I can actually keep this blog updated on a regular basis! A few weeks ago I graduated, and oh what a feeling it is to be done with school! Now, the only problem is trying to find a job! But while I'm job searching, I have also been able to work on some hobbies of mine and get together with friends! Andrew is mainly focusing on work for now, he will be back in summer classes in a few weeks. Hey Hun - just think - the faster it comes along, the faster it will be over!!

The first craft project I have been working on is my blanket. I can't wait to finish it, and at the rate I'm going right now it may be a while!! I work on it "in spurts," as the same with my scrapbooks; I will work on it for a long time, then get tired of it, then get back to it! Maybe I will finish it sometime!! I chose to make a blanket with my 3 favorite colors: Red, Pink, and White. I'm excited to see it when it's finally complete! I am not sure how to make cool looking designs or anything like that (I'm still learning), so I chose to just make uneven stripes for now. I like it a lot, and what's great is that it is really soft!

My second craft project is my scrapbooks. Right now, I have 2 scrapbooks that I have been working on. Andrew and I love taking pictures. So for every occasion, I look through all of our photos, pick out the cutest, funniest, or sweetest pictures I can find and place them in our scrapbook. I just love preserving memories! I even have our old ticket stubs from movies that we have seen, and I want to put those in there as well! The first book ("Memories") I made a couple years ago, and it's completely packed. The second book ("Andrew & Whitney") I made earlier this year and I'm sure it will be full soon as well. I refer to these scrapbooks as our "dating books, and I'm sure we will have a couple more books added to the collection soon! I'm also devoting an entire book to our London trip! Here are a few pictures of my scrapbooks that I have made:

Oh, and for all of my fellow scrapbookers out there, you should check to see if you have an Archiver's near you! It is a scrapbooker's paradise! They have tons of paper, stickers, and other really neat scrapbooking products! And what's great is that they have a special room where you can bring your own scrapbooking supplies to the store and work on your projects there! There are even classes you can take to get new ideas and inspiration, and learn from other women! It's a wonderful store, I highly recommend checking it out! Click here to visit Archiver's website!

So besides working on my crafts, I have been continuously searching for jobs and waiting on call-backs. It is so stressful and discouraging! I feel lazy just hanging around the house all the time, and it's even worse when your a task-oriented kind of person! I learned to use a planner my last semester of college, and a few weeks ago, I made Andrew go with me to Target to find a new one! It will at least make me feel better having one, even if I don't have a job right now! I wanted to post a picture of it, cause I think it's super cute! Alyssa: I just had to show you just because you said you were so excited about recently getting yours too! I still think that is so funny that we had the same mindset!

I love to plan things and I love checking things off my To-do list. Even if I have done something, but it wasn't in my task list, I will add it, and then check it off that I have done it! Haha! I know it sounds weird, but oh well!

And lastly, this summer I plan on doing some "fun" reading! Right now I am currently reading "Love the One You're With," by Emily Giffin, and "The Mary Kay Way," by Mary Kay Ash. I absolutely love Emily Giffin's books. They are filled with so much drama! I love love love it! I decided to read Mary Kay's book because I wanted to learn a little more about the Mary Kay company and how it operates. Well, that's the update for now! Hopefully I will keep up with this thing more frequently than I have!
